Confirmation
Confirmation

"Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace. For "by the sacrament of Confirmation, [the baptized] are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. Hence they are, as true witnesses of Christ, more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed."

-Catechism of the Catholic Church 1285

Confirmed individuals are not "graduating" from religious education. As fully initiated members of the Church, they are expected to continue to deepen their relationship with Christ, to continue to serve His Church, and to lead others to Jesus Christ by their words and the way they live their lives. An excellent way to continue living this life in Christ is by participating in the St. Anne Youth Group upon entering high school.

Candidates must be in at least the eighth grade, submit necessary paperwork, attend the eighth grade Confirmation Retreat, and perform ten hours of community service. All candidates and their parents are provided all program specifics at a Mandatory Candidate and Parent Meeting held each year. Please note that this meeting is for all  candidates, and their parents, regardless of whether they are public school, parochial school, or home school.
